Carlos Moreira with Jean Claude Biver presenting anti counterfeiting watch technology
Carlos Moreira with Jean Claude Biver presenting anti counterfeiting watch technology at BaselWorld - Video from the original launch at BaselWorld with Swiss watchmaker Hublot actively fighting the battle against counterfeits by using Wisekey technology to protect products since 2008.
Hublot uses Wisekey smartcards to provide authenticity assurance to owners who can then use their card to log on to a private Web site where they can read the background and specific details about the watch. The smartcard provides access to a community among Hublot customers who can contact each other through the private Web site. All new Hublot models since 2008 are authenticated with this technology as the smartcard has a chip embedded in it that holds the encrypted identification code of the watch. The Wisekey technology is in Hublot products that are sold in more than 1000 Hublot boutiques worldwide already equipped with the technology. This technology is also used by Dior watches and next week at BaselWorld WISekey will be announcing the evolution on this technology and new partnerships with other brands.
